Panama started the new season with a superb battling performance against current champions Wickham but ended the game without any points. In the first half every panama player put in 200% to stop Wickham from playing and reduced all their efforts to 30yrd shots. HT 0-0. In the second half the efforts continued but by the 80th minute fatigue was setting in and Wickham began to play. Panama rode their luck at times, with Wickham hitting the post, until the 85th min when a nice piece of skill saw a wickham player beat the defence and keeper and slotted home. FT 0-1
Overall Panama were highly unlucky to finish the game with nothing but a fine performance provides a good platform for the season.
